The "Let's Hold Hands" paper dolls are little ambassadors of friendship that travel around the world spreading peace and good wishes. Dolls created in the U.S. have traveled to countries on every continent (except Antarctica!). When I visited Appalachian State I showed several classes of students how to make the dolls. Teachers at Hardin Park School joined me for a workshop making dolls that looked like themselves. Then they showed their students how to make paper dolls to and taught them about all the places the dolls would travel. Some of the Hardin Park dolls traveled to Pakistan when a first grader student's family moved there.
